An important thing to remember is that gunlancer scales extremely well with engravings, especially blue lancer - since your shield is basically always up (if you have specialization & time your shout right) a lot of the negatives to engravings are basically negligible. Gunlancer is a dps class just like the rest. Berserker is probably the best solo class. Tanky but can do a good bit of damage. But, to be honest, they are all good at solo. Seems to me like Paladin is the worst as there is only 1 paladin in the top 100. They are the most annoying class to deal with.
